What I Eat in a Day: to honor God in my nutrition (breastfeeding & fat loss edition) 🍽️

My goal right now is to lose fat while continuing to breastfeed & honor God in my nutritional choices. I haven’t always done this well. I’ve had battles with binge eating & restriction in the past. So how have I changed that?

1️⃣ Plan my meals in advance & meal prep!

2️⃣ Doing # 1 has allowed me to make sure I’m eating enough! I binge and crave sugar when I’m not fueling my body with enough food crazy enough! And low calories can often lead to a plateau in fat or weight loss. So this is crucial!

3️⃣ Surrendered my battle to the Lord, confessed to God in prayer how I was struggling, and surrendered that part of my journey.

4️⃣ Memorize scripture: committed to memory verses that would help me overcome lies or temptation

5️⃣ Invite friends in – I have a community of women I walk this health journey with as a BODi partner & mentor

6️⃣ Follow a nutrition plan – knowledge gives you confidence & power (my portion focused & mindful eating plans inside the groups i run have been transformational)

7️⃣ Have a clear why behind changing your actions – my why: I truly don’t want my daughter to grow up coping with food the way I have, and when mama is eating better, my daughter & husband eat better too!

Right now for these 21 days, I’m focused on portion sizes of the right macro / micro nutrients. I’m eating a LOT of calories to hit my goal while breastfeeding. I’m using a strategy of my nutrition guide called “carb cycling” to help my body hit my goals. It’s been awesome actually! I’ve actually been surprised at how well I’m doing and honestly easy it’s been to follow my plan! Because I’m eating so much, I’m not even struggling with sugar! And my energy is good all day!🎉
